Ethan and Oliver Adventures was born from a longing to slow down and savor these years. Not just to teach, but to disciple. Not just to check boxes, but to create memories that shape who they are and what they believe. These stories aren’t about the perfect trip. They’re about planting seeds — of faith, family, curiosity, and courage — in the everyday.
As a Navy officer, I plan operations. I write orders, analyze risk, and lead with precision. But off the ship, I’m just “Mom” — answering “why?”, and trying to make the most of this fleeting season.
For us, travel isn’t just about geography. It’s about growth and hands-in-the-dirt learning (without the boys knowing!) and marveling at rocket ships in Huntsville, wrestling with history at Civil Rights memorials, or watching the heron lift off at golden hour. Each stop is intentional.
And this blog? It’s not just for the kids, but for the parent doing the planning, the praying, the heart-deep work. It’s a place to pull back the curtain on how these adventures are shaped — through purpose, faith, and a whole lot of peanut butter balls.
