Super Soaker Slushies (Day 8)

A brother vs. brother showdown… and the ultimate way to cool off.

Day 8 of Ethan & Oliver Adventures: The Great Alabama Road Trip took us to Tuscaloosa. The boys unleashed their energy in a full-blown backyard water war. Super Soakers—nothing was off limits. This day the boys learned about Lonnie Johnson and his contribution to the water war. They also learned a little bit of family history tied to the U.S. Patent Office.

By the time the towels came out and the sun dipped low, everyone was soaked, smiling… and ready for something cold. That’s where these Super Soaker Slushies came in—colorful, customizable, and just messy enough to make memories.

Each boy chose his “team flavor” and the results were as bold as their personalities:
Ethan’s Strawberry Lime—classic, sweet, and packed with citrus power
Oliver’s Blue Raspberry Lemon—zippy, fun, and just a little wild…of course to match his personality!

We blended, poured, and laughed our way through every icy sip on the back porch, wrapped in beach towels and early fall joy.

Faith Reflection

“A cheerful heart is good medicine.” — Proverbs 17:22

Joy doesn’t always come in grand gestures. Sometimes it’s found in sticky cups, belly laughs, and a race to the last slushie. These are the moments that fill the heart and point us to the goodness of the everyday.
